An unusual Collection
Dr Henry Forrest Libby grew up in Tuftonboro, and became a collector in his adult life. In 1912 he built a home for his collection, The Libby Museum of Natural History. Starting with butterflies and moths, the amateur naturalist built a private collection of hundreds of items. Other collections followed, including Abenaki relics, skeleton, birds, and early-American home implements.
